Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, Permanent Secretary, Ms. Angela Kawandami has chaired the Human and Social Development pillar of the Eight National Development Plan (8NDP), advisory group meeting.

The meeting is meant to consider and approve the Draft 2022 Annual Progress Report (APR) for pillar 2 of the 8NDP.

As Cluster Advisory Group Chairperson, Ms. Kawandami therefore encouraged all clusters of the 8NDP including the social and human development pillar to prepare and submit their annual progress reports in good time to allow for consolidation of the report before the last Friday of May, 2023 as stipulated by law.

She acknowledged the need to review the progress made in the implementation of the 8NDP, as it provides a framework through which the national development aspirations towards the actualization of the vision 2030 will be attained for the period 2022 to 2026.
