Community Development and Social Services Minister Doreen Mwamba has bemoaned the recent vicious attacks and killings of children in the country.
Ms. Mwamba said her Ministry is working with the Ministry of Home Affairs to curb the situation and ensure that all children are protected from any form of harm.

And the Minister reiterated Government’s commitment to fighting vices such as Early Child Marriages, Violence Against Children and abuse in line with the Children´s Code Act No. 12 of 2022.
She applauded *Save the Children* for playing a critical role towards the improvement of children´s welfare in Zambia.
“The organisation has In the past worked closely with my Ministry in promoting and protecting children’s rights,” she said.
Meanwhile, Ms. Geer commended the Ministry and government for putting in place the Children’s Code Act and pledged support to the Ministry in safeguarding the rights of children in Zambia.
“The Children´s Code Act is a huge milestone, and we shall continue to use Zambia as an example on Children’s Rights and Protection,” Ms. Geer said.
