Zambia and Malawi have pledged to share best practices to advance social protection in their respective countries, in pursuit of social justice for the poor and vulnerable in society.
Minister of Community Development and Social Services, Mrs. Doreen Mwamba, notes that the two countries’ social protection landscape is similar and presents a good opportunity for collaboration to overcome common developmental barriers such as droughts and climate change.
Speaking when a visiting high-level delegation from Malawi comprising Members of Parliament and other policy makers paid a courtesy call on her. Mrs. Mwamba appreciated them for choosing Zambia for a south-to-south social protection exchange programme.
