The Ministry of Community Development and Social Services Permanent Secretary Angela Kawandami says the ministry is expediting efforts to digitalize its systems to ensure the efficient delivery of social protection services to vulnerable people.
Ms. Kawandami emphasized that digital platforms have been implemented to streamline financial management and address payment challenges faced by the Ministry when distributing funds to beneficiaries.
Speaking at a capacity building training workshop on the Navision system for officers from various districts held in Livingstone, the Permanent Secretary urged staff to fully embrace the new technology to streamline operations and simplify their work.
The training focused on equipping officers with the necessary skills to effectively utilize the digital system, which is expected to improve service delivery and operational efficiency within the Ministry.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy to ensure timely and transparent support to vulnerable people across the country.
