The Ministry of Community Development and Social Services has joined the rest of the World to commemorate this year’s International Women’s Day under the theme “For All Women and Girls: Rights, Equality, Empowerment”.

Members of staff participated in the marchpast to reaffirm their dedication to providing quality services for the poor and vulnerable in society through various social protection programmes.

The event, graced by Republican Vice President Madam Mutale Nalumango, highlighted the importance of women as key drivers of social and economic progress.

The Vice President encouraged women to step forward as champions for change, emphasizing their crucial role in shaping a better world.

This year’s theme resonates with the Ministry’s mission to promote the active participation of women and girls in various social protection programmes that government implements.
